The challenge

In 2017, 13.2 tons of single-use coffee cup waste were generated by TU Delft. This is just the impact of ONE campus, however this simple item is present all around us, in all working and learning spaces. At the moment, reusable cups on the market are too expensive, and recycling bins have been proven not efficient enough. More and more institutions and companies are seeking to shift to environmentally viable economies, and acting on this basic daily habit can send a message to all that unnecessary harmful practices can be avoided.

The solution

Clip Cup has a simple solution: a reusable, foldable cup made from sustainable materials. Our aim is to remove all single-use coffee cups in working and learning spaces, and to introduce a simple reusable & foldable cup made from sustainable materials. Minimalist, light, & flat once folded, Clip Cup allows anyone to enjoy hot beverages smoothly and sustainably. FOR WHO? Clip Cup can be sold INDIVIDUALLY(to users of campuses, cafés, etc.) and to GROUPS(large batches of cups for institutions and companies willing to implement the cup in their facilities for their employees). The project is already supported by engineers, researchers, universities, and businesses wanting to adopt it, or to collaborate with us. So let’s work together, towards a sustainable coffee break!
